Content
The main thing I l gained from the topic I researched is children's habits. Specifically the way the act, in correlation to their environment. The background information needed to conduct my own research, was mainly children's developmental ways and behavioral issues. Children are like clay that need to molded in any shape, so environmental and societal influences initial behavior, from the way a family is structured to the culture around them. Using this content I am able to move forward with more projects surrounded around child development, and behavioral habits, and use my knowledge for future endeavors.
My biggest take away from my experience with writing my final paper, and performing my oral defense presentation, was the ability to take on new challenges. Throughout the research conducting process, there was no outline for any student on how to go about their projects. When it came time to present our oral defense presentations, it was a very nerve racking experience, to be filmed and judged while speaking. The critiques I received on my presentation were then put forward to my final paper. Every challenge that came about was faced head on, and used to excell my final paper. This learning experience will be utilized in my future plans moving forward, whether that be in school, the work place, or even in my social life, to accept a challenge as motivation to strive for the ultimate goal.

Process
This entire research process made me realize the perseverance and hardworking student/researcher I truly am. When beginning this process of coming up with a topic, and forming a question, I was constantly comparing myself to my fellow classmates. I didn't think my research was as high-tech or mature as the rest. But once finishing and looking at my findings, I took a step back to realize the equal amount of work that goes into any research project, whether it be science related or a film study. My hard work and perseverance through the hard times, allowed me to see the strength of my project, as it is a topic I felt passionate about. My project has taught me is to never doubt your own capabilities, because if the effort and drive is there, everyone's potential is the same. As I will be moving on to a four year university with ten times the amount of students, the lessons from this course will be carried on and applied, to my overall self-esteem with academics.
Abstract
Children are expected to develop positive behavioral habits, to ensure they are on the right path to growing into a mature human being. However this paper looks at the specific influences children may be surrounded by inhibiting this process from happening. Specifically the media offers children ideas about the images of society, from main character’s in television shows. According to the Milne Library, “the portrayal of a character in a movie can also be phrased by the formula: Dialogue + Physical Movement = Character.” Children develop with a character they watch on a daily basis, because they are their example of a “good individual.” Are they really though? My research will be coding the individual character traits found in the most popular children’s TV shows, targeting the most influential age of children, of 5-8 years olds. These findings suggest that children are being exposed to more negative character traits through popular television shows, that allow them to think it is acceptable behavior.

Next Chapter
To the right is a photo of my graduation announcements, where I will be graduating from Rock Canyon High School on May 18th, 2023. Although I gained a lot from my time in high school, I am ready to move on to bigger and better. Which is why I am excited to announce that in the fall of 2023, I will be attending University of Colorado, Boulder. I plan to major in management and entrepreneurship, with a minor in psychology.

SKO BUFFS!

Thank You
Finally I would just like to give a big thank you to all my biggest supporters. I would first like to acknowledge Mrs. Dobos, my supervisor, for all her guidance and assistance with all my research. She truly helped me to constantly be thinking about the best option, and approach to any challenge that would come my way. I would also like to thank my family for being my cheerleaders, and pushing me to be the best I can be. My research would not have been possible without them, so thank you!
