About Me

Meet Kendra Barr
Hello, my name is Kendra Barr, and I am a senior at Rock Canyon High School. Currently I am enrolled in the AP Research program, as I am working towards conducting my research on popular children's TV shows. I am very intrigued in social relationships and looking deeper for internal meanings. I am involved in academic honors societies, tutoring 1st graders, and a part-time job as a barista. My involvement with children is what truly led to me to my research topic, looking to improve societies knowledge on such a vital part of entertainment for children.

Research background
I have always been involved in research exposing the deeper meanings within society. Some of the research papers I have written include:
-
The Future of Secondary Education
-
The Impact Social Media has on Silencing Personal Opinion and Debates
-
Opioid Crisis Within Minority Groups
MY FRIENDS
MY FAMILY
MY INSPIRATION

My family has always been my biggest support system. My mother has been my main influencer in teaching values, she has shown me the importance of going beyond surface level. My father has taught me the true meaning of perseverance, which is what led me to my research passion. Overall I would not be who I am without these three individuals.

My friends are my outlet. They constantly push and love on me to create the best version of myself. I owe everything to these girls, and truly believe they were placed in my life for a reason.
From my work with kids from babysitting to tutoring, I have learned a lot about children's behavior, and how it fluctuates. My research is solely stemmed on figuring out if that fluctuation is based off such a vital role in their live, television.
